The Nun's Priest's TaleAfter being deceived by the serpent, encouraged to sin by eating the fruit of the Tree of Life, and giving into that sin, Eve introduces her sin to her husband Adam and he sins in the same way, as Moses records in GENESIS 3:6.  As a result, they are both expelled from the Garden of Eden.  In the Nun’s Priest’s Tale, Chanticleer regrets taking his wife’s advice, as surely as Adam did: Wommenes conseils been ful ofte cold; / Wommenes conseils brought us first to wo, / And made Adam fro Pardys to go, / There-as he was ful myrie and well at ese…”
