The Wages of Sin

39_9blackboyforwebUpon returning home from a trip with a salesman/evangelist, Richard’s Granny were sure some of his sins had been cleansed, “for she felt that success spelled the reward of righteousness and that failure was the wages of sin.” Granny misunderstood one of the key components of the Gospel message. ROMANS 6:1-23 explains that all human beings are slaves to sin, but that freedom from sin is available through Jesus Christ. The final verse of the chapter, ROMANS 6:23, says “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
